The Mexican Film Festival is proud to inaugurate its second edition with the screening of the 2007 Golden Palm winning short Ver Llover by Elisa Miller, who will be present in the event. The event will also show the long feature La vida inmune (Resisting life) by Ramón Cervantes.
At this night you will also enjoy authentic Mexican food by the Mexican restaurant Los Pilones, as well as tequila cocktails. The music will be provided by DJ John Key along with live percussions. Two teenagers live in a little Mexican town. Sofia wants to leave. Jonas has to decide whether to stay or leave with her.

Elisa Miller studied film at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC). At present, Elisa is pre-producing another short film that will be her degree thesis at CCC. She is also writing her first feature film. Other ongoing projects of the artist include the creation of an art books publishing house and the development of a group of emerging visual artists and architects with the aim developing multidisciplinary projects and independent films.

Mexico City 1960. Aurelia lives happy with her family. When she is pregnant with her third child, her husband dies in an accident. Years later, each of the daughters live in crisscrossed emotions: Leonor works to support her family; Beatriz, goes by unattached and immersed in music; Nadia is eager to seek new experiences in life. They live with her mother Aurelia, who commences to loose her immune in an atmospheric and dreamlike world.

Ramón Cervantes (Oaxaca, 1953) lives in Mexico City since 1971. He studied filmmaking at Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC), institute in which he was professor. His two first long features were made as part of his training in filmmaking in 16 mm. Produced by UNAM, he made the film Fragmentos de un cuerpo (1987) and the short Alguien se acerca, episodio de Historias de ciudad (1988).
