With 32 different states and over hundred million people living in the country, this theme block gives a glimpse to some layers of the Mexican family.

	Guest of honour Miguel Calderón, 2006, 6' After 15 years making experimental films, Miguel Calderón felt up to a new experiment: a narrative film. In Guest of Honour we follow a family that comes across a deer while having a Sunday picnic and decides to take the animal home as a pet. This decision turns out to have bizarre consequences.
	Verde Green Matias Meyer, 2006, 17' Verde tells the friendship of Juan and Matita, two kids of different social classes. Although the boys do like each other very much despite of their different backgrounds, their social networks disapprove their friendship.
	En el cielo como en la tierra In heaven as well as on earth Natalia López, 2006, 20' Determined by the abandon of their mothers and close to an unapproachable adult universe of hostiles and fleeting encounters, Manuel and Octavio find each other.
	La palomilla salvaje The wild gang Gustavo Gamou, 2006, 55' Reinaldo Cruz, who makes a living shining shoes, and his friend José Alfredo Jiménez, a taxi driver, share the dream of changing their lives by competing in the Rodeo. In spite of the fact they have no experience at all, they challenge a bunch of intimidating professionals. Will they be able to make this dream come true?
